Finishwell is made by Sam Holloway. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app.
The short version
Finishwell doesn't collect your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no adverts and no tracking. Your jobs, photos, documents and signatures are stored only on your phone.
What stays on your phone
Everything you enter or add stays on your phone: jobs, checklists, client details, photos, certificates and other files, signatures, your company details and logo. We can't see it. If you delete the app, it is deleted too, unless you have made a backup.
Things you choose to share
- Home Manuals and calendar files. When you send a manual, a section of it or a maintenance calendar, your phone's share sheet or Messages app sends it to whoever you choose. Finishwell doesn't receive a copy.
- Backups. A backup is a single file containing all your data, photos and documents. You choose where to save it (for example Files or iCloud Drive). Anyone who has the file can read it, so keep it somewhere private.
Phone permissions
- Camera and photos: to add photos to the checklist and your logo. Only the photos you pick are used. A photo's date is read so it can show when it was taken.
- Calendar: only if you choose "Add to my calendar" for maintenance tasks. Finishwell adds and updates those events only.
You can turn either of these off in your iPhone's Settings.
Purchases
The one-off unlock is bought through Apple. Finishwell never sees your payment details.
Children
Finishwell is a business tool and is not aimed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
